A Chaffed Mustache Ride

I asked a visiting brewer (matthew john bacinskas, aka 'Quake) extrodinaire to provide his input. I asked him to pull up a seat to write this thing. And here it is:

What is a chaffed mustache ride? Does it infer "Super Troopers?" Maybe...

A Chaffed Mustache Ride involves drinking one of TB's "Shorthand Stout" (TM) with submerged shot of half-seagrams, half-godiva, as quickly as possible. Some may draw comparisons to the car bomb. But this is different.

Think three things:
1. It leaves a chalky, dry taste in your mouth. And you want another...
2. TBBC remains apolitical and the drink has seagrams and godiva, unlike those other St. Patrick's Day drinks that really are antithetical to being Irish.
3. It leaves a flavor-saver-for-later.

Say that one time fast. Flavor-saver-for-later.

Do Not Smell the Bucket

This posting coincides with the bottling of the Baltic Porter Revisited. Sanitized everything, then racked the beer out of the fermenter and into the bottling bucket. Grabbed a glass in midstream and that's when everything turned sour..or should I say "yeasty"? Ok, yeasty,

The Rook happened to be making a pot of coffee so we figured "hey, why not throw some coffee in there to try to salvage this porter?" And with that Thunder Boomer created its first Coffee Porter. It smells really gross. I think Thunder might be the only one drinking this porter too. maybe we should stay away from the porters for a while.
