Lazy Brewskie

We at TBBC have been distracted by major life events (children, nuptials) and have been lazy bloggers of late. Here is an attempt at a brief run down of recent events, in an attempt to preserve the story of Thunder Boomer.

August 28, 2008 - Brew-rack Obama Ale

Gathered at the Boomer Dome to brew an IPA and listen to the official acceptance speech of the first African-American nominee for the presidency - hence the name of the beer. The recipe was a clone of Victory's Hop Devil with a significant amount of Cascade and Centennial hops. This beer was fermented with Safale yeast and dry hopped with an 1 ounce of Cascade. Bottled two weeks later, this bugger will be a delicious accompanyment to the November 4th festivities.

September 28, 2008 - Break Water ESB

Thunder is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new Rook and to pass the time, he cranked out an ESB. He will need to offer details of the recipe, as Boomer was not present.

In other news...

The Rook has expressed interest in returning to TBBC as an active participant. Seeing as though a new Rook is around the corner, The Rook has been renamed "Big Brother". More on that later...or not.
