Thunder Boomer + Pigeonbush = Yummy
The co-President of a fellow aspiring brewing company, Pigeonbush BC (and one that will be featured at Remfest V) stopped on by to help bottle Mayhem #1 and brew up a brown ale for Remfest V. Although it took us almost 4 hours (we didn't start the boil until well past 7 due to the 90+ degree weather, which makes for cookin' some burgs under the 'ole armpit very easy) to complete both tasks, the final solution was to call this Honeybrown Ale an almagamation of the two companies: ThunderBush.
Recipe below. The Rook seems to be MIA lately, probably tending to his fanmail from the reaction to EM's crazy, sexy, cool new album. Boomer was preparing for a jaunt down to the southwest with his future inlaws (foregone conclusion at this point). Thus Thunder asked for some help from Mr. P, aka Andiconda.
1/2 lb of crystal grain (L?)
1/2 lb of chocolate grain
3.3 lb can of amber ME
1 lb of light DME
1.5 lb high quality clover honey
1 oz cascade hops for 30'
1 oz willamette hops for 30'
tsp Irish moss
Recipe come from Walpole Wine & Spirits, about a beer can toss from Mr. P's house.

Bottled the ThunderBush on 7.12.07. Probably going to be a bit young for Remfest V, but we shall see. Uncarbonated, it tasted a little honey-funky. Time will most likely be the best antidote to a queer taste.
Where or where has Boomer and TheRook gone...
Queer taste you say? I think we need to have a Spaceship drinking event. I nearly forgot about that magic.
What's the temp in the Thunder Dome brew room? Is it relatively cool? I'm thinking about moving all the beer at Boomer Stadium down to the basement because it's really not supposed to sit in hot weather....
Temperature in the Thunder Dome has been in the low 70's even when the weather was blistering hot and hummus. In the low 60s when normal weather.
Thunder Dome has storage for all supplies if need be.
